Where appropriate, we offer video consultations alongside appointments at our practice. This allows us to discuss selected questions personally without requiring you to travel to Freiburg. We clarify whether video is suitable for your concern when arranging the appointment.
What can a video consultation be used for?
A video consultation may be suitable, for example, to discuss existing findings, ask follow-up questions about agreed treatment or review progress. Together, we discuss your questions and the next steps.
What are the limitations?
Video cannot replace a physical examination, ultrasound or other on-site investigations. If your symptoms cannot be adequately assessed this way, we arrange an examination at the practice. Video consultations are not suitable for emergencies.
How to prepare
- You need a smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection.
- Choose a quiet, private place with good lighting.
- Have your questions, an up-to-date medication list and existing findings ready.
Our practice will provide access information and the necessary consent documents. If we need records beforehand, we will agree an appropriate way to send them. Please do not send medical records by unencrypted email without prior arrangement.
Appointments and costs
Please arrange video appointments directly with our practice on 0761 382200. We will clarify suitability, the procedure, billing and any potential out-of-pocket costs in advance.
The online appointment calendar is intended for in-person appointments. Please do not use it to book a video appointment without prior agreement.
