Support for the German Rowing National Team during UWV in Völkermarkt

From July 31st to August 5th, 2019, I had the privilege of supporting the German Men's Sweep Rowing Team of the German Rowing National Team, during their Immediate Competition Preparation II in Völkermarkt. These were the final training sessions before the World Championships in Linz, where the German team achieved a total of 6 medals and 4th place in the nation rankings.

The team consisted of experienced athletes and rising talents, all of whom participated in the training sessions with great ambition and perseverance.

As the medical supervisor, my challenges included supporting the athletes in their individual needs, preventing injuries, and providing treatment when necessary. Despite the high demands and challenges, we were able to work together successfully and prepare the athletes optimally for the World Championships.

It was a great privilege to be part of this success and to witness the passion and dedication of the athletes up close. I am proud of the achieved result and look forward to further collaboration with the German Rowing Federation.
