Medical collaboration with a long-term perspective

Employment in orthopaedics and sports medicine in Freiburg.

Would you like to build personal relationships with patients, carefully assess non-surgical treatment options and develop your own clinical approach? Perhaps you are also interested in the prospect of taking over a practice in the future.

I would like to plan the development of my practice thoughtfully for the long term. One possibility is to work together through an employed position, which could later lead to taking over the practice. This would allow us to get to know each other in everyday clinical work and explore whether our expectations align.

These considerations concern a long-term perspective. They do not signal an imminent departure from my practice.

A practice with a distinctive approach

My work combines non-surgical orthopaedics, sports medicine, and physical and rehabilitation medicine. It centres on careful examination, clear advice and shared treatment decisions.

For many years, I have cared for the German national rowing team, accompanying it to training camps and competitions. This experience also informs my care for people seeking to improve their physical capacity in everyday life and recreational sport.

A particular diagnostic focus is functional compartment pressure testing. The practice also offers a broad range of non-surgical treatments.

The practice is located at Katharinenstraße 15 by the Institutsviertel in Freiburg. Dedicated patient parking and an experienced team support everyday practice: Eva Blaudszun is my assistant and right-hand colleague; Sybille Thormeyer handles billing and related enquiries.

Who I would like to meet

This opportunity is aimed particularly at specialists in orthopaedics and trauma surgery or physical and rehabilitation medicine with an interest in non-surgical orthopaedics and sports medicine.

I value enjoyment of personal patient care, professional dialogue and a willingness to take responsibility. You listen, explain findings clearly and involve patients in decisions.

Your own clinical interests and ideas for developing the practice are welcome. You do not need a fully developed takeover plan for our first discussion.

A possible path to working together

1. Getting to know each other

We discuss your professional goals, my practice and our respective expectations. We can openly explore whether working together could be suitable.

2. Agreeing on a suitable starting point

An employed position is one possible starting point. We would discuss the start date, working hours, responsibilities and terms individually, developing an arrangement that suits both sides.

3. Exploring a future takeover together

If our collaboration works well and our goals align, we can make concrete plans for a practice takeover. Timing, the transition and financial terms would be discussed and agreed separately.

Still at an early stage of your thinking?

Even if taking over a practice is only of interest to you in the medium or long term, I would be pleased to hear from you. An initial conversation is an opportunity to get acquainted, without any commitment.

Confidential practice and contractual details will be discussed in person. For your first enquiry, a brief introduction with your professional background, expected timescale and a way to call you back is sufficient.

Let us start a conversation

If you can envisage working together with the possibility of taking over the practice later, I would be pleased to hear from you.
